We are crazy about cables at avXperten. Cables are our largest product group. Check out the huge selection of cables for audio, video, networking, smartphones, tablets, and computers.

More about cables

Here you can see a comprehensive overview of our most popular cables. Without cables, no electronics will work. It’s the power cables that ensure that the electronics come to life at all. You will find a large selection of them here.

Over time, there are fewer cables that can only be used for one functionality today. Most cables can now deliver either data, audio, video, and power. If not all these functions, then certainly several of them. Therefore, it can be challenging to categorize the different types of cables based on a single function.

Cables for video

Once power has been supplied to the devices, they also need to communicate with each other, whether it involves data, video, or audio.

Here you will find a huge selection of HDMI cables, DisplayPort cables, and DVI cables to connect a computer monitor to a computer or a player.

We also have older connector types that many still use, such as VGA cables for computer monitors.

Even though the different types of cables can be placed in different categories, there is still a big difference between them. Not least the connector at the ends of the cable, but also the composition of the cables. Learn more about the cables here:

HDMI cables

HDMI cables have become standard in most Danish homes when watching TV via a TV box or playing on game consoles.

The HDMI cables are the ones that transmit the picture from your TV box, DVD player, or game console to the TV.

An HDMI cable can also be used for other things, such as transmitting your computer screen to the TV, so you can watch movies on your TV directly from your computer without needing a Chromecast or relying on other connections than the cable that you likely already have.

What you need to remember when buying HDMI cables

An HDMI cable is not just an HDMI cable. There are a range of specifications that differentiate the various HDMI cables from one another. Therefore, you should be aware of the following specifications:

- Length (maximum 10 meters). If you need a long HDMI cable, you should consider whether it should be active (power transmitting).

- Is your HDMI cable 1.0 (1080p), 2.0 (2160p / 4K), or 2.1 (10,000p / 10K).

- The size of your HDMI connector. Is it HDMI-A, HDMI-C (mini), or HDMI-D (micro).

This does not affect your choice of HDMI cables, but if you do not have enough HDMI connectors on your TV, then an HDMI switch or HDMI splitter may be the options that help you get the most out of your devices.

See our entire extensive selection of HDMI cables here.

DisplayPort cables

The DisplayPort cables resemble HDMI cables in several ways. The major difference is that DisplayPort is primarily intended for computers. DisplayPort is meant to be the successor to the DVI connector.

The difference between DisplayPort technology and DVI can be found in the quality with which the cables can transmit images and sound.

Here, DisplayPort can transmit a higher quality. Therefore, you will get a better screen image on your computer screen when you use a DisplayPort cable compared to a DVI cable. You can, among other things, achieve 4K quality on your screen with a DisplayPort cable.

Although DisplayPort is intended for computers, you can also use DisplayPort to send audio and video to your TV. It just requires that you use an adapter to connect your DisplayPort cable to your TV via an HDMI input.

What you need to remember when buying DisplayPort cables

DisplayPort cables are somewhat more straightforward than many of the other types of cables, but there are still a few things that you should look for before choosing a DisplayPort cable.

- Is your computer's output a DisplayPort or a Mini DisplayPort?

- Does your computer have enough DisplayPorts to connect the desired number of screens, or do you need to get a DisplayPort splitter that can distribute the signal to multiple screens?

- Therefore, we offer virtually everything related to DisplayPort cables and accessories.

See our entire extensive selection of DisplayPort cables here.

Mini DisplayPort cables

Another version of the DisplayPort is the Mini DisplayPort, which you often find in the newest computers – especially MacBooks, which use this smaller version of DisplayPort.

The use of Mini DisplayPort cables is not as widespread as DisplayPort cables, so you may well find that you need to use a Mini DisplayPort adapter to connect your MacBook to another device.

What you need to remember when buying Mini DisplayPort cables

There are a couple of points that you should have in mind before you buy a Mini DisplayPort cable.

- First and foremost, make sure that both your devices have a Mini DisplayPort and not just a DisplayPort.

- You might very well need to use a Mini DisplayPort adapter if you need to connect your MacBook to another device via the Mini DisplayPort. Choose the right Mini DisplayPort adapter by checking whether it is Mini DisplayPort to HDMI, Mini DisplayPort to DVI, Mini DisplayPort to VGA, or Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort.

Regardless of which Mini DisplayPort cable or adapter you need, you should be able to find exactly the cable or adapter that gives you the optimal solution with us.

Network cables

Network cables have become a ‘must-have’ in Danish homes when you need to connect your computer to the internet with a cable, or you need to set up your wireless network.

Ethernet cable, RJ45 cable, patch cable, or internet cable are some of the names that network cables also go by. The name is not the only thing that varies regarding network cables. The performance of the cables also varies, so it matters which network cable you choose.

What you need to remember when buying network cables

There are several characteristics of a network cable that play a role in the performance you get out of it. Let’s take a look at them:

- The category. You can choose between cat 5, cat 6, cat 6a, cat 7, and cat 8. The difference lies in the number of Gbps (i.e., how much data they can send) and the frequency. The general rule is that the higher the category, the more Gbps they can send. You can benefit from reading more about the individual network cables so that you find just what matches your needs.

- If your network cable is to be used outdoors, you should choose an outdoor network cable.

- If your connected switches and routers do not support crossover, then you need to have a crossover network cable.

Our large selection ensures that you can find just the network cables that provide you with the perfect solution so you don’t experience a drop in network speed due to your network cables.

Lightning cables

You can hardly say iPhone without also mentioning Lightning cable. Lightning cables made their debut in 2012 when Apple introduced them as the cable that ensures synchronization and charging of your iPhone in connection with the launch of iPhone 5.

The Lightning cable is, therefore, exclusively for iPhone, which opens up for a long range of Lightning adapters that allow you to connect other devices to your iPhone via the Lightning connector.

What you need to remember when buying Lightning cables

When you buy a Lightning cable, it’s important to consider these factors for optimal user experience:

- If you’re looking to cut the price by choosing a non-original Lightning cable, ensure that your Lightning cable is MFI-certified. MFI stands for “Made for iPhone” and indicates that the cable meets the same standard as the original Lightning cables from Apple.

- Price and quality are related. So avoid buying the cheapest Lightning cables, where you, for example, pay 20 DKK including shipping for a Lightning cable from China.

- Look at the design of the Lightning connector. The surface should ideally be smooth and have rounded contacts and edges.

We have both original and non-original Lightning cables with us, and you will find Lightning cables in a variety of price ranges in our shop. Additionally, the selection is diverse and varied when it comes to color and length.

Computer cables

If you want to connect various devices to your computer or simply connect the different devices to each other, we would almost dare to say that we have the right cables for you, regardless of what needs to be connected.

Under our large computer cable category, you can find virtually all types of cables that can be used to connect things to a computer. This also includes cables that can be used between the various components in your computer.

What you need to remember when buying computer cables

We basically have just one piece of advice for you when buying computer cables, namely that you ensure that both your computer and the relevant device have the same connectors so you get the right computer cable.

If they do not have the same input or output connectors, you should look at the different types of adapters. You will find them under the various cables’ menus.

See our entire extensive selection of computer cables here.

USB cables

Don’t worry; we will not go through all the USB cables here, because there are many, really lots, especially when you count all the different variants, USB adapters, and other things.

The charm of USB cables is that it is rarely the same USB connector on both ends of the USB cable. Therefore, you rarely see devices where it is USB A to A, but rather USB-A to another type of USB connector, as is done with USB printer cables, which are USB-A to USB-B.

What you need to remember when buying USB cables

A USB cable can open many doors when it comes to connecting electronic devices, transferring data, or charging your devices. Therefore, it is even more important to pay attention to the following when buying a USB cable:

- Your computer most likely has a USB-A connector, but that does not mean that the input/output on the other device has a corresponding one. Therefore, make sure that you know which USB connector is needed for the other device before you buy your USB cable.

- Keep track of the versions. It also matters whether your USB cable is 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0, as it affects the speed of data transfer.

One of the significant advantages of USB cables is that, in addition to their prevalence, they have been used for so long that there is now such a large selection of USB adapters that they can be connected to almost anything.

See our entire extensive selection of USB cables here.

USB-C cables

USB cables have developed a lot since the first versions of the USB-A cable were released. The latest addition to the USB family is the USB-C cable, which is a true wonder in the world of USB.

USB-C is also called USB 3.1 speedpower+. A part of the growing popularity of the USB-C cable lies in its ability to make fast data transfers while also being able to deliver power.

This means that you can supply power to your connected device via your USB-C cable. However, you need to remember to check whether both of your devices have a version of USB-C that allows this.

What you need to remember when buying USB-C cables

The prevalence of devices using USB-C is still increasing. However, this also means that you may still encounter that not all your devices have a USB-C connection.

Therefore, you may easily find that you need to use an adapter or buy a USB-C to another USB variant when you need to buy a USB-C cable.

Therefore, it is essential to look for the following when buying a USB-C cable:

- Does the selected USB type fit your USB-C cable?

- Is there a need for a USB-C adapter?

To give you the opportunity to connect devices with USB-C cables, we have created a large selection of various USB-C cable types so you can always find the USB-C solution that you need.

Micro USB cables

The Micro USB cable has likely been your faithful companion for many years when you needed to charge everything from your mobile phone to your digital camera.

Typically, you will see micro USB cables that are micro USB to USB-A, as most USB cables connect to chargers via a USB-A connector.

However, Micro USB cables not only provide power to your smartphone; they can also transfer data to and from the connected devices.

What you need to remember when buying micro USB cables

When you are about to buy a micro USB cable, there are several things that we recommend you consider.

- It may sound a bit silly, but check whether it is indeed a micro USB cable and not a mini USB cable that you need.

- Ensure that your micro USB cable has the correct USB connector at the opposite end of the cable compared to what you will connect the micro USB cable to.

- What will you use it for? If you are the type who wants to play on your mobile phone or tablet while it is connected to the charger via the micro USB cable, consider a micro USB cable with an angle, as this minimizes the risk of bending and breaking your micro USB cable, making it not work optimally, or damaging the micro USB connector in your device.

Once you have made these considerations, you can browse the many options for micro USB cables in our extensive selection.

Antenna cables

We are all familiar with the annoying moment when the signal on the screen acts up, especially when something important is on TV.

There are now so many options for customizing your antenna cables so that they fit exactly what you need when the pre-assembled antenna cables do not meet your requirements.

Regardless of which direction you wish to go with your antenna cable, we can promise that our selection can give you exactly what you need.

What you need to remember when buying antenna cables

There are a few things that can greatly affect your TV signal that you should consider when choosing your antenna cable.

- Does your antenna cable have the correct class (A, A+, and A++ are recommended for cable TV)?

- Does it need shielding?

- How long should it be? It is recommended that your antenna cable is no longer than 10 meters (antenna lead to TV). The shorter the distance the signal needs to travel, the better the signal will be.

- Is your signal too strong or weak, necessitating a resistor or an antenna amplifier?

- Do you want to assemble and install your antenna cable yourself, or do you want a pre-made solution?

Regardless of which solution you choose, our selection of antenna cables and various forms of accessories can ensure that you get exactly the antenna cable and setup that secures you the optimal TV signal.

Power cables

You do not need to compromise on equipment – and you certainly do not need to compromise on power. Our section of power cables contains a long list of the most commonly used power cables, so you are always ensured power to your devices.

There are both the classic power cables, but many of them are also available in angled variants, allowing you to connect your power cables better without risking awkward bends.

What you need to remember when buying power cables

Without being overly confident, it may be a bit less complicated to choose power cables compared to other types of cables. Therefore, the list of advice is a bit shorter than many of the lists above.

- Does the power cable have the correct connector?

- Does the power cable have a length that meets your requirements regarding the distance between the device and the socket? If not, then consider a longer power cable. Alternatively, you might consider an extension cord.

- Does the output from your power supply or its location mean you need an angled power cable?

Once you have these considerations in place, you can easily find the exact power cable that will power your devices. See our entire extensive selection of power cables here.

Speaker cables

Unless you are using expensive wireless speakers, speaker cables are almost an unavoidable requirement if you want sound in your speakers.

Unlike many of our other types of cables, speaker cables rarely come in versions with attached connectors.

If your speaker cables require speaker plugs, don’t worry. They can be purchased loose and attached to the speaker cables.

What you need to remember when buying speaker cables

When choosing speaker cables, among other things, you need to look at the quality and design of the cables. Below are a couple of areas we believe you should consider before purchasing a speaker cable.

- Which speakers do you need to connect - and what should they be connected to?

- What quality do you want your speaker cables to be? Our selection is enormous, so we likely have what you are looking for. We offer, among other things, professional speaker cables designed to provide sound beyond the ordinary.

Mini jack cables

The mini jack cable is now known to most of us since it is used for headsets and many other forms of connections when it comes to connecting sound devices to, for example, a computer or mobile phone.

The well-known cable with a 3.5 millimeter mini jack connector can also be used when you want to listen to music in the car and don’t have a car radio with Bluetooth.

Fortunately, mini jack cables come in various lengths, so you are not limited by the length of the cable in terms of which devices you want to use.

What you need to remember when buying mini jack cables

Yes, yes, we probably sound like your mom when we want to remind you that before you choose a mini jack cable, you should ensure that both intended devices are compatible with mini jack connectors. Furthermore, you should remember the following when buying a mini jack cable.

- How long a mini jack cable do I need?

- Do I need a mini jack cable with, for example, an angled mini jack connector?

- If both devices are not compatible with a mini jack connector, can I possibly use a mini jack adapter to connect the desired device?

Regardless of whether you need a mini jack to phono adapter or mini jack cable for Apple, we have a long list of adapters that make it possible for you to connect your mini jack cable to almost any devices. This also applies to mini jack extenders and mini jack splitters.

See our entire extensive selection of mini jack cables here.

Optical cables

Optical cables may not be the type of cables you encounter most frequently. An optical cable is a cable that transmits digital audio between two devices. For example, it can be between a DVD player and an amplifier.

Here, sound is transmitted as pulses of light and not current as with traditional analog audio cables. This results in less signal loss, as optical cables are less susceptible to noise.

What you need to remember when buying optical cables

When using optical cables, you should consider the following factors before making your choice:

- How much noise is there? If there is too much, you should choose a thick optical cable, as this further reduces susceptibility to noise.

- Do you need an optical splitter, optical switch, or optical adapter to get the most out of your optical cables?

We offer optical cables in several forms and lengths. Likewise, you have the opportunity with us to choose extraordinarily good optical cables that ensure you the perfect sound experience.

See our entire extensive selection of optical cables here.

Phono cables

A phono cable is an audio cable that often connects larger types of devices, such as amplifiers and players, whereas smaller devices use mini jack cables.

Unlike mini jack cables, phono cables consist of separate audio cables for the right and left audio channels – usually indicated by white and red or white and black.

What you need to remember when buying phono cables

When choosing phono cables, it is primarily the shielding and thickness of the phono cable that you need to look at. Furthermore, you should consider the following:

- How much noise is your phono cable exposed to? To minimize noise – and thereby achieve a better signal – you can buy thicker phono cables or a cable with shielding. Less noise results in better sound, so it is desirable.

- Do you need an adapter? For example, do you need a jack to phono adapter to connect your phono cable?

Regardless of what needs you have regarding phono cables and various forms of phono adapters, you should be able to find solutions in our selection that ensure you have the optimal sound experience with your phono cables.

See our entire extensive selection of phono cables here.

Phono RCA cables

Phono cables can also be three-part, where besides the red and white phono plugs, which you know from the other version, there is also a yellow phono plug.

While the red and white phono plugs transmit sound, the yellow phono plug transmits video.

What you need to remember when buying phono RCA cables

- Do you need a two-part or three-part phono cable?

- Should your phono cable be phono to phono, or should your phono cable connect to a device with a different output – for example, scart or video mini jack?

No matter what, with the various types of phono adapters you can get exactly the connection for your phono cable that provides you with sound and video on your TV.

See our entire extensive selection of phono RCA cables here.

VGA cables

With the VGA cable, we are dealing with an increasingly classic solution when it comes to audio and video on computer monitors or projectors.

The VGA cable has actually been on the market for over 30 years, so there is no doubt that the VGA cable has been a long-lasting solution for connectors and cables that can transmit video up to full HD.

The long lifespan has also led to the VGA cable being used for many devices concerning audio and video. This also means that over time, a long range of accessories has been developed, which has just increased the number of application possibilities for the VGA cable.

What you need to remember when buying VGA cables

There are several different things you need to consider when choosing your upcoming VGA cable or accessories for it.

- Should your VGA cable be VGA to VGA, or should it be VGA to another type of connector?

- How many screens do I want to send the VGA signal to? If you want more, a VGA splitter, VGA switch, or a VGA adapter may be relevant solutions for you.

We can confidently promise that you won’t run out of options when it comes to VGA cables and VGA accessories.

See our entire extensive selection of VGA cables here.

DVI cables

Digital Video Interface - popularly called DVI - is used to transmit uncompressed video data between your computer and your screen or projector. The DVI cable was introduced in the late 1990s, where it, in many respects, was the successor to the VGA cable.

The DVI cable has the advantage that it can often be connected to other outputs, as the DVI cable often comes in versions with a DVI connector at one end and, for example, VGA or HDMI at the other end.

What you need to remember when buying DVI cables

When purchasing a DVI cable, you should remember the following:

- Should your DVI cable be DVI to DVI, or do you need to connect devices where one device does not have a DVI connector? If one of your devices does not have one, then you should either consider a DVI to HDMI, DVI to VGA, or a DVI adapter.

DVI cables give you the option to display content from a computer on up to four screens with a DVI splitter. Learn more about DVI cables and their possibilities for you in our extensive selection of DVI cables.

Telephone cables

The number of landline phones may be declining, but many people still own one – and therefore also need telephone cables.

Telephone cables are now also used for more than just telephony. They are also used for internet modems.

What you need to remember when buying telephone cables

Before buying a telephone cable, there are a couple of things you need to get right because a telephone cable is actually not just a telephone cable. There is a difference between them. Here are several areas you should consider.

Is your telephone cable an RJ10, RJ11, RJ12, or RJ45 cable? The difference in names lies in the connector itself. The most commonly used for telephony is RJ11. RJ10 is primarily used for headsets in phones, while RJ12 is used when transferring data between equipment.

Do you want a pre-assembled telephone cable, or would you prefer to assemble the modular connectors on the telephone cable yourself?

Do you need an extension cord or an adapter?

In addition to telephone cables, you will also find many other forms of telephone accessories in our shop, including everything from extension cords and various types of adapters.

See our entire extensive selection of telephone cables here.

Music cables

Just like with computer cables, we have music cables that cover several types of cable types. Common to these cables is that they are all used for either musical instruments or other forms of musical equipment.

What you need to remember when buying music cables

The product names provide a pretty good indication of what the various music cables are for.

The plug designs on the different cables vary as well, so you can easily see which music cables you should buy.
