Make crispy pizzas with a pizza oven
If you love pizza or miss the ones you had in Italy, homemade pizza from a pizza oven can help bring back those memories.
To make the best homemade pizzas, you also need the right accessories to assist with preparation.
At avXperten we also have a large selection of kitchen tools, such as meat grinders, hand mixers, wall clocks, or knife sharpeners.
5 Good Reasons to Buy a Pizza Oven
If you want to try to surpass the local pizzeria's work, you should go out and invest in a pizza oven.
The high heat a pizza oven can reach is one of the reasons why the pizza gets its airy crust and crispy base.
If you are considering whether to invest in a pizza oven, here are 5 points to help you make a decision.
#1 The pizza oven can reach higher temperatures than a regular oven
One of the secrets behind the crispy pizzas in Italy is the high temperature under which their pizzas are baked.
If you want to achieve a somewhat similar result, you need to invest in a pizza oven.
Most pizza ovens can reach over 400 degrees without problems, while the regular oven can only reach about 275 degrees.
The high temperature is crucial if you want rich crusts and crispy bases, as it makes the gluten in the dough rise.
If you want to improve your pizza baking without spending too much money on it, a pizza stone would be a good investment.
A pizza stone ensures even heat distribution in the oven since most ovens release heat from above.
A pizza stone is good for absorbing heat and can therefore give the base the same temperature that is released from above.
#2 Make much more than just pizza with the pizza oven
A pizza oven can be used for much more than just making pizzas. You can easily use the pizza oven for regular baking, just like you would with a regular oven.
Most of our pizza ovens release heat from above, melting the cheese to perfection without drying out the tomato sauce and ingredients.
In addition to baking, you can also prepare meat and vegetables in it. However, you need to adjust the temperature depending on what you are preparing so it doesn't burn.
For example, try these dishes in the pizza oven:
- Whole roasted chicken
- Grilled salmon or other fish
- Slow-cooked meat like spare ribs
- Grilled root vegetables as a side
- Focaccia or other crispy and airy baked goods
#3 Compact and portable
Most of our pizza ovens are compact in size and easy to pack down or take with you wherever you go.
The practical size makes it easy to use on e.g., the balcony, terrace, or in the camper.
Most of our pizza ovens run on electricity, which is easy to plug in without the hassle of gas bottles and wood pellets. However, we also have pizza ovens for gas if you prefer that.
If you choose a gas pizza oven, you should be aware that some pizza ovens can be connected to two types of gas:
- Regular gas bottles
- Gas cartridges
At avXperten we have plenty of accessories for pizza ovens, including the gas regulator, which is necessary to connect the pizza oven to the gas bottle.
#4 Much more entertaining to make pizza in a pizza oven
Making homemade pizza is often a cozy activity that the whole family can be part of.
Involve the kids in the baking and let them be a part of it. It is much more entertaining for the kids to see you take the pizzas out with a pizza shovel.
With a pizza oven, it will not only improve the result, but also make the entertainment better. It feels entirely different to make pizza when you do it in a pizza oven with a pizza shovel in hand.
Drink a glass of wine while you prepare the pizzas in the pizza oven and dream of the south of Italy. It doesn't get much more authentic than that.

#5 Make more pizzas in less time with the pizza oven
Since a pizza oven can reach a much higher temperature than a regular oven, it also means that the pizzas don't need to be cooked for as long in the pizza oven as they do in the oven.
If you need to bake pizzas for more than two people, a pizza oven is definitely preferred.
A pizza can take about 7-8 minutes to prepare in a regular oven, which can suddenly take a lot of time out of your day.
However, if you make pizza in a pizza oven, it will only take 2-3 minutes to prepare a pizza.
This gives you more time to eat and enjoy instead of having to keep an eye on the pizzas in the oven every minute.
No matter how many pizzas you need to make, it almost isn't worth it to use the oven, as a pizza oven is much faster and better at preparing the pizzas.
