A power cable constitutes one part of a charger for your computer monitor or another type of electronic device. It is this cable that performs the last and most important part of the connection – namely the connection to power via a wall socket or via a power strip. These power cables are called IEC cables because they have a power plug at one end and an IEC plug at the other end. The IEC plug is typically connected to a charger box. The plugs in our selection of power cables are designed to fit all Danish wall sockets. This means that you can use the cable anywhere you go within the country's borders. Our power cables come in different designs and with various functionalities. For example, you can choose whether you want your plug with or without ground. Ground is a shorter, third pin that is built into some plugs to make them safer and minimize the risk of electric shock. However, not all wall sockets are suitable for plugs with ground, so you should be aware of how the plugs are in your home before you acquire a power cable. The use of a power cable
Our power cables consist of a CEE plug at one end and an IEC plug at the other. It is therefore obvious that their function is charging. The IEC plug is the type of plug that typically fits into the small charger box, which connects one end of a charger with the other. When you connect your power cable to the charger box, which is specifically designed to fit a certain computer, you can thus establish a connection between the wall socket and the device. In this way, you enable fast and efficient charging anywhere and at any time where you have access to a classic Danish wall socket.
The difference between CEE plugs and IEC plugs
By now, the terms “CEE” and “IEC” have been mentioned a couple of times in this text. It may sound like a fancy and confusing term for an advanced electronic process, but in reality, it is anything but that. CEE and IEC are just the terms for specific types of plugs that, due to their specific design, fit into specific contexts. The CEE plug is the round plug with two or three pins that sits at one end of the power cable. This is the plug that connects the cable directly to a power source. The IEC plug, on the other hand, is the plug that connects the power cable to a charger box. This way, the cable connects to the wire or cable that is connected to the computer. When it comes to CEE plugs, they can come in two different models. These plugs can either be obtained in an angled version or in a straight version. In the angled version, the plug head is turned so to speak, so that the pins end up standing crosswise to the cable itself. This allows the cable to fit into a high wall socket and still hang neatly down the wall. It also makes it easier to insert the plug into small, narrow power strips where there is not much space. With a straight CEE plug, the pins are parallel to the cable, and this is a simpler way to design and use the cable.
