Speaker cable is available in sizes from 2x0.5mm, which is typically used for rear speakers or bookshelf speakers, to a robust speaker cable of 2x4.0mm, which is suitable for large floor-standing speakers with deep bass or for passive subwoofers.
Definition of CCA and OFC speaker cable:
OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) Speaker cable with conductors made of 100% oxygen-free pure copper. By using an OFC speaker cable where the conductors are in pure copper, you achieve the best sound quality with more sound details and deeper bass than using a CCA speaker cable.
CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium) Speaker cable with conductors made of aluminum coated with a copper alloy. Aluminum conducts electricity not quite as well as copper, but can be obtained significantly cheaper, as the raw material is much cheaper than copper.
With a CCA cable, we recommend choosing a thicker cable than when using an OFC copper cable.
