Speaker cable is available in sizes from 2x0.5mm, which is typically used for rear speakers or bookshelf speakers, to a strong speaker cable of 2x4.0mm, which is suitable for large floor speakers with deep bass or for a passive subwoofer.
Definition of CCA and OFC speaker cable:
OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) Speaker cable with conductors consisting of 100% oxygen-free pure copper. By using an OFC speaker cable where the conductors are pure copper, you achieve the best sound quality with more sound details and deeper bass than by using a CCA speaker cable.
CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium) Speaker cable with conductors consisting of aluminum coated with a copper alloy. Aluminum conducts electricity not as well as copper, but can be obtained significantly cheaper, as the raw material is much cheaper than copper.
With a CCA cable, we recommend choosing a thicker cable than when using OFC copper cable.
