Bose - known for quality and design

Bose is known for their high quality and design that stands out, and this applies to all products from the company.

Bose has produced speakers for numerous car manufacturers and won an award in 2007 for their solutions for the automotive market.

Today, there is an opportunity to get Bose installed in the following car brands:

  • Chevrolet
  • Fiat
  • Honda
  • Hyundai
  • Kia
  • Mazda
  • Mitsubishi
  • Nissan
  • Porsche
  • other foreign brands

Bose is known for their mindset that “what you dream of today can become tomorrow's reality”.

The company is known for creating innovative designs, features, and for the products having a very high quality.

Fans of the company draw comparisons with the Danish B&O group and believe that Bose is the American version of B&O; whether this is the case, we’ll leave it up to you to judge.

Bose is particularly known in Denmark for their Noise-cancelling headphones, which have gained prominence in the market since their introduction.

The headphones became very popular as they were able to block out all surrounding noise and completely enveloped the ear.

However, Bose is known for more products than car speakers and headphones, for example:

  • Soundbars for TV
  • Subwoofers
  • Multi-room speakers
  • Bluetooth speakers
  • Surround sound speakers
  • Complete speaker systems

5 reasons to choose Bose

You can probably come up with many reasons to choose Bose as your next audio experience, and there are countless, so here are a few favorites in case you find yourself in doubt.

#1 - Quality

Bose is unique when it comes to quality, both in terms of material choice, sound, and not least design.

The company has truly managed to get it all right, and it is hard to find anyone other than high-end products like B&O to compare the company with.

The materials used are top-notch and can both be seen and felt, combined with a beautiful design in sleek and minimalist styles, the products exude quality visually.

When you play music or watch movies through Bose speakers or headphones, you immediately notice the quality of the sound.

The sound is strong, vibrant, and clear across the entire tone spectrum, from the highest notes to the deepest bass rhythms.

#2 - Sound experience

When you play music or watch movies through Bose speakers or headphones, you immediately notice the quality of the sound.

The sound is strong, vibrant, and clear across the entire tone spectrum, from the highest notes to the deepest bass rhythms.

When you have Bose connected to your TV, you get a natural sound that surrounds you and draws you even deeper into the action unfolding on screen; the nuances in the sounds come through sharp and allow for complete immersion.

Even speakers for the computer, for example for gaming, provide an amazing sound experience despite the size of the speakers.

Once, it was such that the larger the speakers were, the better sound you could expect, because there was more room for the internal components that contributed to the experience, but with Bose speakers, headphones, and smart devices, this stereotype has clearly been challenged.

#3 - More models

When you need to choose speakers for your home, size can play a big factor in the choice; do you want a large and spacious sound or a small practical speaker?

With Bose, this choice has become much easier, as you can get almost everything in a small speaker that is practical and easy to take on the go.

Bose offers both large and small solutions, and what they all have in common, whether you need a new headset, headphones, or a large speaker system, is that the sound is extraordinary.

So the wide selection of models means you have the option to choose based on space or based on how much your friends should admire your new gear.

#4 - Design

If you are into sleek design in lovely materials, then you have come to the right place, as Bose is known for their design, both their functional design and their visual design.

The functional design from Bose often stands out a bit from the competitors, and this includes everything from button placement, the speaker’s layout, and the bass's location in the speaker, not to mention the speaker's inputs.

The visual design is minimalist and sleek, made from luxurious materials and with an aesthetic look, consistent across all speakers, allowing you to connect multiple speakers together while still maintaining the same style.

#5 - Sustainability

Bose is constantly working to improve sustainability and incorporate this into daily operations throughout the company.

The company's global network of suppliers and distributors and other parts of the supply chain must meet Bose's high standards regarding environmental, social, and managerial standards.

This must ensure the supply chain to guarantee that Bose's values around conducting their business ethically, responsibly, and with integrity can be maintained.

Additionally, Bose supports the development of renewable energy and also uses a significant portion of renewable energy themselves; therefore, the headquarters is connected to a large solar installation that supplies most of the factory's energy needs.

There is also constant work to develop products that have minimal impact on the environment, focusing on energy efficiency, durability, and construction.

The story of Bose

In 1956, Amar Bose entered an electronics store and bought a speaker system that he was looking forward to using to listen to music, but he was unfortunately very disappointed with the performance of the speaker.

He then became more interested in sound and speakers and set out to develop a system that used multiple speakers aimed at the surrounding walls to reflect the sound and create the illusion of sound from a concert hall.

In 1964, Amar Bose Corporation was founded in his hometown of Massachusetts in the USA, and in 1966, Bose introduced the model Bose 2201, which is the first speaker Bose sells.

The system, which was launched in 1964, was unlike anything that had ever been seen on the market before and consisted of a total of 22 speakers, many of which pointed away from the listener to achieve sound reflections from the walls.

However, just three years later, the system was taken off the market again, as it was not the hit Amar had expected, and he went back to the drawing board, this time with the listener's perception of good sound in mind.

In 1968, the Bose 901 was launched, and with its 8 speakers pointing towards the wall behind the speakers and a ninth pointing towards the listener, the system became a huge success, despite the unusual setup.

Model 901 was produced until 2006, and its success meant that Bose Corporation grew significantly throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

In 1993, Bose Corporation opened its first store in Maine, and in 2011, Amar Bose donated the majority of the company’s non-voting shares to his alma mater, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, known as MIT.

The condition was that MIT could never sell the shares and could also not participate in the company’s management or administration.

In January 2020, it was announced that Bose, now under CEO Phil Hess, would close all stores in North America, Japan, Europe, and Australia, but would continue to maintain an online presence.

Bose has manufacturing facilities in Framingham, Westborough, and Stow, all in Massachusetts, as well as in Tijuana and San Luis Río Colorado in Mexico, and in Batu Kawan in Malaysia.
