Buy cheap Cat 6 cables at avXperten

If you need a good all-round network cable that supports speeds of up to 10 Gbps, most internet providers recommend using a Cat 6 cable or a Cat 6a cable. If you are looking to set up a more demanding network installation that handles large amounts of data, you may need to use a Cat 7 cable, which has higher specifications.

Wireless internet is becoming more and more popular, but a network cable is still included in many internet installations. A wired connection is more stable and often faster.

If you are looking for a new Cat 6 cable, you have come to the right place.

We have a large selection of Cat 6 cables, where you can choose between Network Cable Cat 6 - Shielded or Network Cable Cat 6 - Unshielded

Network cables, like all other technology, are constantly being improved. Here you can find more information about Cat 6 and the other categories of network cables. If you want to see our entire range of network cables, you can find it here » Network Cables

What is a Cat 6 network cable?

Network cables in category Cat 6 support a bandwidth of 250 MHz and speeds of up to 10 Gbps up to 50 meters and around 2 Gbps over longer distances. Cat stands for category, as the cables are continually being improved, and to keep track of the standards, the cables are categorized.

The category refers to the various specifications of the cable, primarily speed, bandwidth, and signal length, which you need to be aware of.

However, there are several other things to look for if you want to choose the most optimal network cable.

Cat 6 vs Cat 6a vs Cat 7

The Cat 6 internet cable is the successor to what is called Cat 5e. Cat 6 was designed as the best “all-round” network cable.

Cat 6 cable has a higher capacity and is more resistant to external noise than previous versions of network cables. In most cases, a Cat 6 cable meets most needs for an optimal internet installation.

At avXperten, we pride ourselves on helping you find the cables that best suit your needs. That’s why we have written a complete network cable guide about the different categories. Do you need further help deciding? Then read our article:

Should I choose Cat 5 or Cat 6 network cable – or something completely different?

How to find the best network cable

When it comes to network cables, the most expensive is not necessarily the best. Certainly, it may have better specifications, but due to the positive development of the technology behind network cables, cheap cables are often sufficient for most people’s needs and consumption.

Find the cables that suit your needs

With a higher category, you are more future-proofed. That said, you do not need a Cat 7 or 8 cable unless you are looking for some very specific requirements.

There are also other things than category you should consider when choosing a network cable. Should it be shielded or unshielded? Should it be solid or flexible? We have a huge selection of network cables, and we want you to find the best one.

Other types of network cables

Do you have other needs? A crossover network cable is designed to connect two computers to each other. An outdoor cable is a weatherproof cable, and as the name suggests, it can be used outdoors
