PC Hardware

PC Hardware - Wide selection of high quality

Here on the site you will find our selection of high-quality PC hardware that you can use when you want to build a computer from scratch or replace individual parts in your PC.

PC Hardware are the physical components that you can touch, while software is everything you can't touch, such as programs.

PC hardware is therefore all the physical components that your PC needs in order to function, and thus physical components that often require some form of electronic source to operate.

It can also be the case that the case surrounds all the physical components of the computer, the keyboard or mouse that you use to give input to the system or your screen.

We can offer a wide selection of various PC Hardware that you may need if you want to build a PC from scratch, or want to renovate an older PC.

Below you can read a bit about the different PC hardware you may need to build your computer.

11 examples of PC Hardware you can use for Computer Building

There are many different components needed when you start building a computer from scratch, and some of this PC Hardware can be found as examples below.

#1 - PC Case

You can of course just connect the individual PC hardware components with each other and have them lying loose, but this is rarely very practical, both in terms of ventilation and cooling of the components, but also in terms of keeping dust and dirt away from the components.

Therefore, you will often need a case in which the various units can be reasonably mounted, while being protected from dirt and dust, and also achieve effective ventilation.

The case is a part of a PC's hardware, which both protects and ventilates the other components, while making it much easier to connect external hardware.

#2 - CPU

CPU, also called the processor, is also part of PC hardware, and is one of the most important components in your computer.

Therefore, it is often this component that is chosen first right before, or at the same time as the motherboard.

The CPU is often referred to as the brain of the computer, as it is this component that determines how many processes your computer can handle at once.

This component also often determines the performance and speed your computer receives.

#3 - Motherboard

Motherboard in Danish is often called the bundkort, and is part of PC hardware in the computer that ensures that communication between the various components occurs quickly and efficiently.

The motherboard is often compared to the human central nervous system, because it is this component that gets data from the CPU to the right components, just as the central nervous system gets signals from the brain to the individual body parts.

It is often the motherboard that determines what type of CPU you can install in your computer, which makes the motherboard one of the most important PC hardware parts in your computer.

#4 - Graphics Card

PC hardware also includes the computer's graphics card, at least if this is a dedicated graphics card.

The graphics card is crucial for you to display images on your screen and although a graphics card can also be integrated into the motherboard, many choose to insert a dedicated graphics card, which can often deliver better output that meets the requirements of most modern games.

If you use the computer for gaming, a dedicated graphics card is almost a necessity and often dedicated graphics cards have their own RAM, so it does not need to use the motherboard's memory.

This can give the motherboard a little extra power because it does not have to pull the graphics card.

#5 - RAM

RAM is the computer's system memory and this is also part of PC hardware that you cannot avoid when building your computer.

RAM is the computer's short-term storage, where data that the computer actively uses is stored, so that it can quickly access the data and thus execute processes and tasks faster.

RAM works closely with the CPU and this is used in every single task you perform on your computer, whether it is surfing the internet, editing text documents, or playing music.

RAM should not be confused with your hard disk, which is also a memory storage, but where the hard disk is a long-term storage, RAM is a short-term storage for dynamic data.

#6 - Power Supply

The computer's power supply is also a form of PC Hardware, and without this, you cannot supply power to your motherboard and thus to the rest of the computer's components.

It is important that you choose a power supply that delivers precisely the power needed to drive the motherboard.

If the motherboard receives too high a voltage it can burn out and, in the worst case, also damage other components that are connected.

If the voltage is too low, the computer cannot turn on and function optimally, so it is important to be careful when you choose a new power supply for your motherboard.

#7 - PC Hardware for Cooling

Cooling, such as fan, liquid or air cooling units all fall under PC hardware.

Although most computers need a fan to ensure ventilation in the case, not all computers need dedicated cooling units.

If you use your computer for gaming, you can often improve performance by installing extra cooling, which can help cool the CPU when you play for extended periods.

#8 - PCI Cards

All kinds of PCI and PCIe cards are also part of PC hardware and are expansion cards that can be inserted into your PC to allow connection of external components.

PCI and PCIe cards can be found in connection with sound cards, network cards, or WiFi adapters.

#9 - Hard Drives/SSD

Whether you need an external hard drive or you need to find an HDD or an SSD, it is all PC hardware.

The hard drive/SSD is an essential part of building a computer, at least if you want to store your files on the computer.

A hard drive is a long-term storage for storing files, images, and documents, so you can quickly call them up on the computer and edit, delete, or share them with others.

#10 - Keyboard and Mouse

Another type of PC hardware is input devices such as keyboard, mouse, drawing tablet, microphone, and other parts that provide data input to the computer.

This is often also something that you might think of first when you think of PC hardware because these are devices that you can see and feel without opening the computer.

Even though these devices are not mounted inside the computer, they are no less essential for the function of the computer because they are the components that allow you to control the programs on the computer and tell the computer what processes it should perform.

#11 - Sound Card for your Computer

Sound cards in a computer are not an absolute necessity, as there is often an integrated sound card in the motherboard, but if you want an enhanced audio experience, or want to add speakers and headsets to the computer, this PC hardware is rarely dispensable.

Sound cards also come in a variety of models, which have different features, but what they have in common is that these components are output devices and therefore deliver data to an external device.
