High Pressure Cleaners - The best tool for cleaning tasks

Here you will find our selection of high pressure cleaners.

A high pressure cleaner is the perfect tool for cleaning concrete, woodwork, terraces, stairs, and much more.

Even the most stubborn stains can disappear with just a quick rinse with the high pressure cleaner, even stains that have been there for months, maybe even years.

High pressure cleaners are incredibly versatile, and they also use less water than a regular garden hose, but much more effectively.

You will often save more money using high pressure cleaners to clean, for example, your terrace, than your garden hose, and the job will often take less time, and be done much more efficiently.

3 things to consider before buying a high pressure cleaner

With the large number of different models on the market, it can be difficult to find the right high pressure cleaner for your home and garden.

We have therefore compiled a small list of the most essential things to consider before making your decision and buying your next high pressure cleaner.

#1 - Pressure and pump speed

There are several ways to measure the power of a high pressure cleaner.

The pressure at which the water is ejected is measured in bar, while the pump speed is measured in liters per hour.

There is also the power behind your high pressure cleaner, which, if it is electric, is measured in Watts, and if it is gasoline-driven, in horsepower.

The most important measurements to remember are the pressure, the higher the bar, the more powerful the cleaner, and the pump speed, the more liters per hour, the higher the speed.

To choose the right pressure and pump speed, you should consider what you will clean the most, how often you will clean it, and how dirty it gets.

These factors are important, as the pressure can be felt in how effectively it cleans, and the pump speed in how easily it cleans.

A general rule of thumb is that the higher the pressure, the better a high pressure cleaner is at tackling stubborn stains and harder surfaces, such as asphalt and tiles.

The higher the pump speed, the faster you will be able to clean your car, for example.

Here you can see which bars are best suited for the different types of cleaning tasks that may arise.

You can also see which machines will best suit what you will be cleaning, but it is also important to remember that many high pressure cleaners have a function that allows you to adjust the pressure.

Therefore, you can easily use a higher pressure cleaner for smaller tasks.

#2 - The right nozzle for the job

The nozzle is more important than you might think, as it determines the focused intensity at which the water is sprayed.

This can vary from brand to brand, whether you get a set of different nozzles included, or if you can adjust the nozzle that is already attached.

Adjustable nozzles are often more practical than interchangeable ones, as with a simple twist you can change the width and pattern of the water spray.

Type of nozzle

Purpose

Low Pressure/65°

Mixes water with soap

40°

Good for delicate surfaces

25°

Good for most tasks

15°

Good for heavy-duty cleaning and removal of paint and wallpaper

Good for the toughest cleaning jobs

Above you see the list of different nozzles you can get for your high pressure cleaner.

  • The Low Pressure nozzle, also known as the 65° nozzle, is the one typically used to spray cleaning agents over what you need to clean. You can often recognize it as the black nozzle in the color-coded sets.
  • 40°-nozzle, often colored white in the set, is often used for cars, garden furniture, boats, and delicate surfaces, as the pressure is not too harsh on more delicate and sensitive surfaces, but is still strong enough to remove stains.
  • 25°-nozzle, often colored green, is the one that can be used for almost all tasks, as it is hard, but not too intense, so you can easily use it on most surfaces without causing damage.
  • 15°-nozzle, recognizable by its yellow color, is used for more heavy-duty cleaning, as it focuses the water, making the spray both hard and intense, allowing you to wash away most stains and dirt.
  • 0°-nozzle, the red, is the most powerful and concentrated nozzle, so you need to be careful about how precisely you use it, as damage may occur if used incorrectly.

In general, it is incredibly important to use the correct nozzle for your cleaning tasks, as you risk damaging your equipment and whatever you are cleaning.

A quick warning:

If you are looking for an easy way to clean glass, the high pressure cleaner will not be suitable for you, as glass is extremely delicate, and the windows in your home are not as thick and sturdy as car windows, for instance.

#3 - The length of the hose

The length of the hose is not always something you need to consider, as most high pressure cleaners are easy to transport, and some can even be strapped to your back.

However, it may be necessary after long periods of use to replace the water hose, and here you may need to consider which length is best suited.

The length of the hose can indeed have a big impact on how you experience using your high pressure cleaner.

For example, there may be times when you feel it is not enough, and you have had to strain to perform your cleaning task properly.

Other times, the hose may have been too long, and you feel you could have tripped over it.

Some hoses can indeed be over 7 meters long, and it can be difficult to maneuver if you are transporting your high pressure cleaner around.

On the other hand, longer hoses are ideal if you want the freedom to place the high pressure cleaner in one location, easily allowing you to clean without being hindered by carrying your high pressure cleaner around.

Ideally, it would benefit you most to stick with the length you received when you bought the high pressure cleaner, but if necessary, your high pressure cleaner can operate effectively with longer hoses, as long as they do not exceed 18 meters.

The maximum recommended length for the water hose is indeed 18 meters, as exceeding this can cause more harm than good, because the pressure can be decreased through the hose, and your high pressure cleaner ends up not working as intended.
