Labelprinter - Print useful information for your items

A label printer is a small type of printer used to print labels on label paper, which you can stick on, for example, a box.

If you need to speed things up at the workplace, whether it's a shop or a factory, a label printer will be a good alternative to a regular printer, and you can save a lot of time on setting up the printer specifically to print labels.

If you find yourself in a situation where you might need a new label printer for your shop, now that the old model has broken down, we fortunately have a wide selection of label printers, so you can buy just the right label printer that can make a big difference in your daily life.

5 things to consider before buying a label printer

If it’s been a long time since you bought a label printer, or if you’ve never bought one, you may understandably be uncertain about the extensive market for label printers, which is large and possibly will grow over time.

As a consumer, you need to consider the tasks your upcoming label printer will need to perform at your workplace and the speed at which these tasks should be carried out.

We can only recommend that you set aside some time on our site here, so you can become more knowledgeable about our selection of label printers before you start making a concrete purchase.

Below, we will discuss label printers and go into more detail about their functions.

You will also learn more about the media types in label printers, printing widths in them, and the different connection types in them.

Finally, we'll discuss whether you want your upcoming label printer to come with or without an included roll.

#1 - Types of label printers and their functions

No label printers are alike in their shapes and functions, even though they are all used to print labels.

This also applies to their printing speeds, as they are not uniform either.

There are both large and smaller models of label printers, so it will be up to you to find a model that fits the label work you intend to do.

If you work in a webshop where goods need to be shipped to customers, it may be suitable to seek a label printer that is used to print shipping labels.

Here are some of the functions found in label printers:

  • Thermal printing. Many label printers on the market use thermal printing, so you don't need to change ink or spend time maintaining it in another way. It can be very useful when things need to move quickly in a webshop or a shop.
  • LCD display. On a label printer with an LCD display, you can make all the necessary adjustments to your labels before printing them out for use. There are differences in the LCD displays of different models, so it’s up to you whether you want a label printer with a larger display, which makes it easier for you to manage functions on the screen.
  • Template transfer from PC. If you have already created a template on your PC, you can easily transfer that template to your upcoming label printer without any hassle.
  • Keyboard. Some label printers have a smaller keyboard on them, which is either located on the left side or in the middle under the printing area. There are necessary buttons like power on/off and print.
  • Memory. Some of the more advanced label printers have memory in them, so you can look back at the templates you’ve previously created if you again need to print a label of a specific type.
  • Built-in cutter. All label printers - large or small - have a built-in cutter that automatically cuts off a label when printing is finished.

You can always read more about the label printers we have in our selection by clicking on the different models and reading about their exact specifications.

#2 - Media types in label printers

The various label printers in our selection can print different media types depending on what you need your labels for.

If you need to make shipping labels for sending out some packages, we have a label printer on our site that is perfect for that kind of task.

Here are some of the media types that the label printers in our selection can print:

  • Shipping labels
  • Receipt paper
  • Inventory tags
  • Paper labels
  • Tag labels
  • Collar labels
  • Fanfold labels

It’s a good idea to look at the different label printers we have and see which media types they are compatible with.

#3 - Printing widths in label printers

Since the label printers we have come in different sizes, this inevitably affects the width of the individual label printer's printing area.

This is definitely something you need to consider when choosing to buy the label printer you may need.

Here are some of the printing widths you find in label printers:

  • 56 mm
  • 60 mm
  • 104 mm
  • 108 mm
  • 114 mm
  • 118 mm

You can explore the various printing widths on our label printers by clicking on each one and finding more information about them.

#4 - Connection types in a label printer

There are many ways to connect a label printer, and some models can connect different connection types at once, which depends entirely on the setup you want your upcoming label printer to have.

You can thus buy a label printer that has a USB port, so you can connect it with a USB cable to your laptop or a label printer that can operate wirelessly via Bluetooth or with the help of your Wi-Fi connection.

  • LAN
  • NFC
  • USB
  • Bluetooth

You can see more about our different label printers regarding their connection types to find the right form of connection that fits your needs.

#5 - With or without included roll in a label printer

Some of the label printers we have come with or without an included roll.

If you want to get started quickly with using your upcoming label printer after a purchase, we recommend a label printer with an included roll that matches the model's printing width.

However, if you already have the rolls you need and just therefore lack a new label printer, so you can continue from where you left off, then it is, of course, just a model without rolls that you choose to buy.

ATTENTION! Your order is only binding, when we have confirmed your order.
