Computer Cables

Computer cables for everything

Computer cables cover many different types used with a computer. The most commonly used today are USB cables, which can be found in a sea of versions and generations.
Whether you need to connect a mouse, a keyboard, a scanner, a printer, a camera, or something else, there is a cable that fits, and we can guarantee that we have something in our selection that matches.
So dive into our subcategories and find the computer cable you are currently missing. You are sure to find one that fits.

USB cables

We carry a wealth of different USB cables, both standard and adapter
You can find cables for USB 3.0, USB 3.1, USB 1, and USB-C, as well as extension cables, USB-C to HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, Lightning, and Network.
The different generations of USB cables have different connectors. USB-A and USB-B are virtually identical, while USB-C has become smaller and it doesn't matter which side is facing up, unlike its predecessors, which only fit one way.
The original USB connectors were flat on one end and almost square on the other. The large square connectors are mostly used for printers and scanners, but they are gradually being replaced by USB-C connectors.
Newer computers with USB-C connectors also have the potential to act as a network card for your computer if you don't have one built-in. Most newer laptops are simply too thin to accommodate an old-fashioned RJ-45 network connector, so here you can use a USB over Cat5 Extender.
If you have an older monitor with a VGA connector, you can still connect it to a newer laptop by using a USB-C to VGA cable.
There are many options and many solutions in this category.

Mini and Micro USB

In this category, you will find Micro USB, Micro USB-C, Mini USB, Mini USB-C, and Mini USB Y cables.
Micro USB cables come in various shapes and colors, in different lengths. This type of USB cable is almost a necessity if you have a computer or a smartphone. It is available in both A and B types, and is used to charge your phone, transfer your files, and share your information.
Micro USB-C is the newer version and fits most newer mobile phones that are born with a USB-C connector.
A Mini USB Y cable consists of a mini USB connector at one end and two standard USB connectors at the other. This cable is used exclusively for devices that require more power. If your device requires 1000 mA instead of the standard 500 mA, you will need to use a Mini USB Y cable to connect it to your computer.

Serial cables

Under Serial cables, we have Null modem cables, RS232 cables, and USB to RS232 cables.

Null modem cables are used to connect a computer to a terminal or printer. The connectors look like VGA connectors but are used to send data between DTE devices. The cable is specially designed to enable teleprinters to communicate with their messengers. They are not used for other devices.
RS232 cables are used to connect barcode scanners, scales, sensors, etc., to a computer which must also have an RS232 port built in to use this type of cable.
RS232 to USB cables are used to connect an older device such as a printer to a computer, allowing them to communicate even if your computer does not have an RS232 port.

SATA & power

Under SATA & power, you will find eSATA cables, internal PC power cables, and standard SATA cables.
SATA cables are used to connect e.g., a hard drive to the motherboard in a desktop computer. All drives that can be installed in a computer are connected with a SATA cable.
eSATA cables are used to connect an external hard drive and a computer, but this requires that your computer has an eSATA port to which you can connect your external hard drive. The eSATA port looks somewhat like a USB port but should be marked with eSATA.
When you install a new hard drive or a DVD drive or another type of drive in your computer, it also needs power. It does not get this from the SATA cable, so you also need a power cable that can connect your device to the motherboard.

Adapter cables

Under Adapter cables, we have PC to TV cables, Phono to USB converters, and USB PC link cables.
A PC to TV cable has a Scart plug at one end, which you can connect to your television, and an S-Video and mini-jack plug at the other end, which you can connect to your computer. This way you can use your television as a screen if, for example, you want to display pictures on a large screen or play videos in a larger format.
A Phono to USB converter gives you access to connect your turntable to your computer, so you can listen to or transfer the music from your vinyl records to your computer.
A USB PC link cable allows you to connect your computer's USB port directly to your television's USB port.

We also have , which is used to transfer uncompressed video data between a computer and a screen/projector.

Keyboard & mouse

Under Keyboard & mouse, you will find KVM cables, PS2 extension cables, and standard PS2 cables.
Older mice and keyboards use PS2 connectors, so if you need an extension or need a completely new cable, this is where you should look for it.
KVM cables are used to connect a computer with a KVM switch, allowing you to connect two computers to a single set of keyboard and mouse.
